“In the heart of Bogotá, “Doble Espiral” has been launched, an exhibition that seeks to reconcile the past with the present. This offering is a gesture of healing and reconciliation, and a tribute to the Muisca ancestors.

For the Muisca people, gold, maize and emeralds were symbols of life and nature. Their art connected with the sacred and expressed love for the earth.

In “Doble Espiral”, colonial artefacts are pulverised and blended, where tumbaga, emeralds, gold and bronze regain their ancestral value.

During the exhibition, you will be able to witness a video-performance capturing the process of kneading cornflour with these materials, and there will also be a live art installation. Come along and be part of this moment of creation and reflection.
