While I keep myself distant is a dialogue between two artists that began during the pandemic, when we were all isolated. The two artists used their creativity as an antidote to the loss and fear they were experiencing. The collaboration gave birth to two bodies of work linked by the common thread of the pandemic, which kept everyone in social isolation. While Virginia’s work (“What’s behind”) focuses on identity, how the pandemic changed our appearance and the way we recognize each other, Roberta´s body of work (Anhelitus”) explores the emotional tension generated by the force of constriction.
