Francéclat
Francéclat is a professional economic development committee covering the timepiece, jewellery, silver/goldwork and table decoration industries.
To support the development of companies in this group of sectors, it instigates collective actions in various fields: creation and innovation, standards and regulations, production system efficiency, statistical and economic studies and the development of markets within and outside France.
All these actions are decided by professionals representing manufacturing, craftsmanship and distribution. They are designed for businesses whose collections feature very broad stylistic tones and ranges.
In the sphere of design, Francéclat proposes different collective actions designed to energise creation by providing companies with forecasting information on the influences that impact consumers and their requirements, through its “Influence” books, specific sector-based studies, sociological studies and its platform of creation-dedicated IT tools, LeLAB.
One of Francéclat’s chief preoccupations is developing creativity and diversity in jewellery, as well as its areas of expertise. This led it to support the new Parcours Bijoux 2020 project launched by the D’un Bijou à l’Autre association.

La Garantie
An association’s jewellery-focused project
Our name comes from the Bureaux de Garantie (Guarantee Office): a governmental department whose task is to inspect and mark works made of precious metals. But our interest is rather different. It lies in the tangible and intangible heritage produced by jewellers, and we are keen to foster thinking and actions in our own way that further recognition of their activities.
The public are familiar with “haute joaillerie”, less so with fancy jewellery, and far less so with contemporary jewellery. We do not seek to relegate each category to “their own” territories; on the contrary, we feel that the particular features of each can enrich the others, and we want to use our independence to help jewellers meet each other and engage in shared projects.
The task of this association is to highlight the sector in every possible form. It aims to encourage scientific research on jewellery and help to promote it with the public, the press, cultural institutions and collectors in both France and abroad.
Training, informing, reflecting and possibly irritating are all part of the association’s approach.
